(Reuters) - Vehicle manufacturer CNH Industrial (CNHI.MI) has “substantially” reconfirmed its business plan in Italy and is no longer reconsidering the future of two plants whose position was formerly thought to be at risk, unions said on Wednesday.

Last month, unions said CNH could revise its plans for a plant in the northern city of Brescia, where the industrial vehicle maker promised new investment, and for one in the southern city of Lecce, where orders dropped.

“CNHI withdrew doubts over Brescia and Lecce announced in the previous meeting,”, the FIM, FIOM, UILM, FISMIC, UGL and AQCF unions said in a joint statement after a meeting with the company and representatives of the industry ministry.
