Norway's Tandberg to acquire UK-based Codian

(Reuters) - Tandberg TAA.OL said it will acquire Codian, a UK-based high-definition videoconferencing products maker, for $270 million (135 million pounds) in cash and stock.

The deal, which would give Norway-based Tandberg access to additional resources for capturing current opportunities within core markets — videoconferencing and telepresence, is expected to close in the third quarter of 2007, the company said in a statement.
