He will play an obsessed cop who, with his partner, is on the trail of a serial killer prowling the streets of Buffalo. When his teenage daughter disappears, the cop drops any professional restraint and goes all-out to get the killer.

Morgan O‘Neill, a winner of the Australian version of the “Project Greenlight” reality show, will direct from a script he co-wrote with Australian actor Paul Leyden. It is set up at producer Joel Silver’s low-budget horror specialist Dark Castle, which is based at Warner Bros.

Cusack was recently in theatres with the box office dud “Martian Child,” but is generating awards buzz for his performance in the Iraq-themed drama “Grace Is Gone.”
