ECB to discuss German court ruling on bond buying at late Tuesday meeting

FRANKFURT (Reuters) - The European Central Bank’s Governing Council will discuss the German Constitutional Court’s ruling on its asset purchase programme at a meeting from 1600 GMT on Tuesday, an ECB spokesman said.

The Bundesbank must stop buying government bonds under the ECB’s long-running stimulus scheme within three months unless the it can prove the purchases are needed, Germany’s top court ruled on Tuesday.
