Ethiopian police detain 200 people over violence

NAIROBI (Reuters) - Ethiopian police have detained 200 people in connection with violence on the outskirts of capital on Saturday that left 23 dead, state affiliated Fana Broadcasting said on Monday.

Earlier on Monday, the Alemayehu Ejigu, head of Oromiya region’s police commission had put the number of those arrested at more than 70 people.
