French consumer confidence steady in August, hovers near two-year low

PARIS (Reuters) - French consumer confidence held steady in August at a near two-year low, in line with market expectations, according to data from the INSEE statistics on Tuesday.

The proportion of households deeming it an opportune time to save increased slightly, INSEE said.
