Russia's Lavrov says 'pragmatic' talks with U.S.'s Tillerson did not touch on sanctions

BONN (Reuters) - Russia Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Thursday a “pragmatic” meeting with his U.S. counterpart Rex Tillerson had addressed conflicts in Syria, Ukraine and Afghanistan, but not U.S. economic sanctions on Russia.

“The meeting was pragmatic, business-like,” Lavrov said. “We noted the existence of common interests, primarily in terms of the fight against terrorism.”
