BERLIN (Reuters) - German retail sales will likely grow at a slower pace in 2020 compared to a year earlier, the HDE retail association said on Friday, expecting a rise of around 2.5% to 557 billion euros (£468 billion).

“The overall economic conditions for consumption continue to be good,” HDE Managing Director Stefan Genth said.

Retail sales last year grew by 3.2%, HDE said.
