Greek unemployment drops slightly in December to 26.4 percent

ATHENS (Reuters) - Greece’s jobless rate dropped in December to 26.4 percent from a revised 26.6 percent the previous month, the country’s statistics service ELSTAT said on Thursday.

It was the highest unemployment rate in the euro area for that month, and more than twice the bloc’s average unemployment reading of 11.8 percent.
