BERLIN (Reuters) - Germans will not be able to hold parties and large events in winter even after November, during which Germany is in lockdown, Chancellor Angela Merkel said on Monday.

Turning to the impact of lockdown on the economy, she told a news conference: “Coming through the pandemic well is the best thing for the economy.”
