Tourism travel between Italy and Albania banned due to COVID-19

ROME (Reuters) - Travel for tourism between Italy and Albania has been banned, a note by the Italian embassy in Tirana said, in a further effort by European states to avoid bringing COVID-19 cases in from other countries.

Trips between the two countries will still be allowed for specific reasons, such as work, health and for those who have to return to their place of residency.

In July Italy had already banned entry from several countries, including Brazil, saying that these places presented an excessive rate of COVID-19 infections.
