Diasorin halts Italian public sector work pending judicial probe

MILAN (Reuters) - Italian medical diagnostics group Diasorin (DIAS.MI) said on Friday it was halting new clinical testing work with Italian public institutions after prosecutors opened an investigation into a coronavirus antibody test contract it was awarded.

The group reiterated in a statement that it had acted properly over the award of the contract with the Policlinico San Matteo hospital in the northern city of Pavia.

But as a precautionary measure it said it would suspend new clinical experimental activities with Italian public sector institutions “until the necessary conditions for legal certainty have been re-established”.
