Poland's daily COVID-19 cases could rise to 20,000 this week - government

WARSAW (Reuters) - Daily coronavirus cases could rise to 20,000 by Thursday or Friday, government spokesman Piotr Muller told public television.

A full lockdown cannot be ruled out, although no decisions have been taken, Muller added.

Poland reported a record 18,820 new coronavirus infections and 236 deaths on Wednesday.
