Italy prepares new rules to favour loan securitisations

ROME (Reuters) - Italy’s ruling coalition presented on Monday amendments to its 2019 budget law which would make it easier for banks to shed loans by wrapping them into asset-backed securities.

One of the new proposed measures would allow the special purpose vehicle (SPV), specifically set up for the securitisation, to lend money to the bank selling loans.
