ROME (Reuters) - The leader of Italy’s centre-left Democratic Party (PD), Nicola Zingaretti, said on Monday he was optimistic talks with the anti-establishment 5-Star Movement would lead to the creation of a coalition government.

“We are working as you know with patience and in a serious fashion for the formation of a real government of change, because this is what Italy needs to rekindle the economy,” Zingaretti told reporters.

“...We are confident, we are optimistic and we will continue to work in this direction,” he said.
