Tokyo bourse changes hardware and restarts system to resume trading on Friday

TOKYO (Reuters) - The Tokyo Stock Exchange will replace hardware and restart its system to resume trade on Friday after suspending trade for an entire day - its worst ever outage - because of a glitch in its electronic trading system.

TSE President Koichiro Miyahara apologised at a news conference on Thursday. He said the bourse decided to suspend the full day of trading because of concern an early resumption would cause market confusion.
