LafargeHolcim CEO says second virus wave won't derail construction recovery

ZURICH (Reuters) - LafargeHolcim (LHN.S) Chief Executive Jan Jenisch does not believe a second wave of the COVID-19 will prevent the recovery in the construction industry his company is seeing.

“The regulators, the governments as well as the construction companies - they had a very rapid training in the last couple of months how to operate construction sites under these circumstances because the pandemic is not over yet,” he told reporters on Thursday.

“You will see waves and hotspots, but I don’t think construction sites will necessarily be affected by this,” he added after LafargeHolcim said it expected a recovery in the second half of 2020.
