VIENNA (Reuters) - Lufthansa’s Austrian unit AUA (LHAG.DE) will cancel one in five flights scheduled for Thursday, due to a staff meeting over a pay dispute, it said.
70 of 380 flights will be cancelled, affecting around 5,400 passengers, AUA said on Tuesday.
Two staff meetings had initially been planned for earlier this month, leading to the cancellation of more than 140 flights, but had been cancelled at the last minute because of sickness, according to the trade union.
AUA staff will discuss a Lufthansa offer on a new collective agreement, which the union has described as “unacceptable”.
