Russia urges rebels in Syria's Idlib to distance selves from Nusra Front

MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russia’s foreign minister called on Monday for opposition groups in Syria’s rebel-held Idlib province to distance themselves from the Nusra Front group, an offshoot of al Qaeda.

Russia has also asked the secretary general of the United Nations why the organisation is not participating in Syria’s reconstruction, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said in Moscow after talks with his Lebanese counterpart.
