British U.N. envoy says would prefer 'proper investigation' into Syria attack

UNITED NATIONS (Reuters) - Britain’s U.N. ambassador, Karen Pierce, said on Monday she would prefer to start with “a proper investigation” into a suspected chemical weapons attack in Syria, but all options were on the table.

“We would prefer to start with a proper investigation but we will keep in touch with our very close allies U.S. and France,” Pierce told reporters, adding that all options were on the table.
