Lebanon's Hezbollah says U.S. war will not achieve goals

BEIRUT (Reuters) - The Iran-backed Lebanese group Hezbollah praised the Syrian air defence for confronting an attack by the United States, Britain and France on Saturday and said a U.S. war against Syria and “resistance movements” would fail to achieve its objectives.

“The war that America is waging against Syria, against peoples of the region and resistance and liberation movements will not realise its goals,” Shi’ite Hezbollah, which fights in support of the government in Syria’s civil war, said in a statement.
