Trump says North Korea must get rid of its nuclear weapons

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump on Tuesday said the United States would continue to put “maximum pressure” on North Korea ahead of what he hoped would be positive talks with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un that would lead to Pyongyang’s denuclearisation.

“I want them to get rid of their nukes,” Trump said at a joint news conference with French President Emmanuel Macron at the White House.
