LISBON (Reuters) - Portuguese consumer prices rose 0.7 percent last month in a slowdown from a sharp increase of 1.9 percent in March when new clothing and footwear collections hit the stores, the National Statistics Institute said on Friday, confirming its flash estimate.

The second reading of April’s consumer price index put yearly inflation last month at 0.4 percent, down from 0.7 percent the previous month and also in line with the flash estimate released last month.

In the 12 months through the end of April inflation clocked 1.1 percent, down from 1.2 percent a month earlier.
