Ryanair to close Eindhoven base despite court ruling

DUBLIN (Reuters) - Ryanair (RYA.I) said it will appeal a Dutch court ruling on Thursday blocking the closure next week of the airline’s base in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, and said the closure would go ahead as planned.

“We have instructed our lawyers to appeal this Dutch court ruling on the pilot transfer procedure. However, today’s decision has no effect on the closure of the Eindhoven base which will go ahead as planned on November 6,” Ryanair said in a statement following the court’s decision.
