Flamengo score three second half goals to beat Sport

RIO DE JANEIRO (Reuters) - Flamengo scored three goals in a short second-half burst and overcame Sport Recife 3-0 in Rio de Janeiro on Wednesday.

Pedro scored with two tricky goals in the 51st and 60th minutes, both off headers from Gustavo Henrique.

It was the third consecutive game that the reigning champions have scored three goals or more and the performance lifted them into second place in the 20-team Serie A.

Sport fell into seventh place.
