(Reuters) - Brighton and Hove Albion have agreed to sign striker Florin Andone from Spain’s Deportivo La Coruna, the English Premier League side said on Friday.
The Romanian international will join Brighton when the window for international transfers opens on June 8.
The 25-year-old, who has been offered a five-year contract, made 69 appearances spread over two seasons at Deportivo, scoring 18 goals.
"We are delighted that Florin has agreed to join us. He is a player that we have tracked for some time, and he will add a new dimension to our attacking options," Brighton manager Chris Hughton said in a statement here
“He is a very hard-working player, and has proven his quality at the highest level in Spain, as well as at international level. I am looking forward to working with him next season.”
Brighton also signed Nigerian international defender Leon Balogun on a free transfer on Wednesday.
Hughton led the team to 15th place last season, ensuring their first year back in the top flight since 1983 ended on a high note.
