LONDON (Reuters) - Sunderland will not be making an offer to sign on-loan French forward Djibril Cisse on a long-term basis, the Premier League club said on Monday.

Cisse, 27, joined Sunderland from Olympique Marseille in August 2008 and bagged 10 league goals.

“We wish Djibril well and thank him for his contribution to the club this season,” chairman Niall Quinn said on the club’s website (www.safc.com)
