Spain's public deficit, minus town halls, 2.09% of GDP in first half

(Reuters) - Spain’s public deficit, including the central government, social security system and regions, but not including town halls, reached 2.09% of gross domestic product in the first six months of the year, the budget ministry said on Tuesday.

The number came in above the 1.34% published a month earlier for January-May.

Spain’s public deficit target for 2019 is 2.4%.
