Joyce to weaken to tropical depression - NHC

(Reuters) - Tropical storm Joyce is forecast to weaken to a depression Saturday night or Sunday, the U.S. National Hurricane Center (NHC) said on Friday.

Joyce is located about 1,090 miles (1,755 km) west-southwest of the Azores with maximum sustained winds of 40 miles per hour (65 km/h), it added.

The storm is moving southward and expected to turn eastward by Friday night, and then accelerate north-eastward over the weekend, the NHC added.
