LONDON (Reuters) - Highlights of the seventh day at Wimbledon, the third Grand Slam tournament of the year, on Monday (times GMT):

1915 PELLA OUTLASTS RAONIC

Argentina’s Guido Pella came back from two sets down to beat former finalist Milos Raonic 3-6 4-6 6-3 7-6(3) 8-6 in a marathon encounter which lasted three hours and 41 minutes.

1835 NISHIKORI SETS UP FEDERER CLASH

Japan’s Kei Nishikori committed 31 unforced errors against Mikhail Kukushkin but did enough to beat the Kazakh 6-3 3-6 6-3 6-4.

In his 12th Grand Slam quarter-final appearance, Nishikori will face second seed Roger Federer.

1815 FEDERER CHARGES PAST BERRETTINI

Second seed Roger Federer eased into the quarter-finals with a 6-1 6-2 6-2 win over Italian Matteo Berrettini.

Federer, chasing his ninth title at the All England Club, committed just five unforced errors in the match.

1650 DJOKOVIC CRUISES PAST HUMBERT

Defending champion Novak Djokovic fired 25 winners and did not face a single break point in a routine 6-3 6-2 6-3 win over French youngster Ugo Humbert.

In his 11th Wimbledon quarter-final appearance, Serbian top seed Djokovic will meet Belgian David Goffin.

1640 KONTA BATTLES PAST KVITOVA AND INTO QUARTERS

Johanna Konta, the last Briton standing in the singles, rallied from a set down to beat sixth-seeded Czech Petra Kvitova, twice Wimbledon champion, 4-6 6-2 6-4 and reach the quarter-finals for the second time.

Konta, the number 19 seed, will play Kvitova’s compatriot Barbora Strycova for a place in the semi-finals.

1600 QUERREY WINS ALL-AMERICAN DUEL WITH SANDGREN

Sam Querrey outlasted compatriot Tennys Sandgren 6-4 6-7(7) 7-6(3) 7-6(5) in their last-16 encounter to set up a quarter-final meeting with third seed Rafa Nadal.

1525 MUCHOVA STUNS PLISKOVA IN ALL-CZECH BATTLE

Czech Karolina Muchova stunned world number three Karolina Pliskova 4-6 7-5 13-11 in a marathon encounter, which lasted three hours and 17 minutes.

Pliskova’s exit means Ash Barty will hold on to her world number one ranking at the end of the tournament.

In her first Grand Slam quarter-final, Muchova will meet eighth seed Elina Svitolina.

1515 GOFFIN OUTMUSCLES VERDASCO

Belgian David Goffin reached his third Grand Slam quarter-final, beating Spain’s Fernando Verdasco 7-6(9) 2-6 6-3 6-4.

1450 HALEP ENDS GAUFF’S FAIRYTALE RUN

Seventh seed Simona Halep ended 15-year-old Cori Gauff’s dream run by beating the American 6-3 6-3 in the last 16.

The Romanian broke serve five times in the match to set up a quarter-final clash against China’s Zhang Shuai.

1410 BAUTISTA AGUT POWERS INTO LAST 16

Spain’s Roberto Bautista Agut improves his head-to-head record to 7-0 against Benoit Paire, beating the Frenchman 6-3 7-5 6-2.

1355 NADAL MAKES LIGHT WORK OF SOUSA

French Open champion Rafa Nadal eased past Portuguese Joao Sousa 6-2 6-2 6-2 to reach his seventh Wimbledon quarter-final.

The third-seeded Spaniard will next face American Sam Querrey.

1315 SERENA RACES INTO QUARTERS, SETS UP RISKE CLASH

Serena Williams produced a clinical display to beat Spain’s Carla Suarez Navarro 6-2 6-2 in 63 minutes on Court One.

The seven-time champion struck 21 winners and won 78% of her first serve-points to set up a quarter-final clash with fellow American Alison Riske.

1235 STRYCOVA FIGHTS BACK TO REACH QUARTERS

Barbora Strycova fought back from a set and 5-2 down to beat Belgian Elise Mertens 4-6 7-5 6-2.

Strycova, who last reached the Wimbledon quarter-finals in 2014, will next face either Britain’s Johanna Konta or her Czech compatriot Petra Kvitova.

1205 ZHANG SURVIVES YASTREMSKA SCARE

China’s Zhang Shuai recovered from a mid-match blip to beat Ukrainian 19-year-old Dayana Yastremska 6-4 1-6 6-2.

Zhang, ranked 50th in the world, equalled her best ever Grand Slam singles performance - a quarter-final appearance at the 2016 Australian Open.

1200 SVITOLINA SAILS INTO QUARTERS

Eighth seed Elina Svitolina struck 30 winners in a routine 6-4 6-2 win over Croatia’s Petra Martic to reach her first Wimbledon quarter-finals.

1150 RISKE DOWNS WORLD NUMBER ONE BARTY IN THREE SETS

American Alison Riske came back from a set down to beat world number one Ash Barty 3-6 6-2 6-3 in the last 16.

Riske, ranked 55th in the world, claimed a decisive break in the eighth game of the final set to knock out Australian Barty and reach her first Grand Slam quarter-finals.

“I’m so excited, and so proud of myself for the way I’ve handled matches here,” Riske said after the match.

“I couldn’t begin to say what Wimbledon means to me. Getting to the quarter-finals is amazing, but just the way I’ve been fighting is the best thing for me.”

1100 PLAY ON ‘MANIC MONDAY’ BEGINS AT WIMBLEDON

Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic and Serena Williams are all round of 16 action at the All England Club later on Monday.
