Thai king begins purification rituals before being officially crowned

BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thailand’s King Maha Vajiralongkorn donned white robes and began purification rituals on Saturday before being officially crowned in intricate ceremonies.

King Vajiralongkorn, 66, inherited the throne from his revered father after his death in 2016 following a 70-year reign.
