Turkey's Erdogan, Russia's Putin discuss deepening ties

ANKARA (Reuters) - Russian President Vladimir Putin called Turkish counterpart Tayyip Erdogan to congratulate him on his election victory, and the two leaders discussed deepening and improving bilateral ties in the phone call, a Turkish presidential source said.

Putin and Erdogan reiterated the importance of cooperation on regional issues, especially on Syria, the source added.
