Uganda bombings kill one American - U.S. embassy

KAMPALA (Reuters) - Twin bomb blasts in Uganda’s capital Kampala killed one American in the attacks targeting bars packed with soccer fans watching the World Cup final, a U.S. embassy spokesman said on Monday.

“At this moment we can confirm that one American has been killed,” public affairs officer Joan Lockard told Reuters.
