Ukraine signs 1.2 billion euro EU loan agreement - PM

KYIV (Reuters) - Ukraine signed an agreement with the European Commission on Thursday for a 1.2 billion euro (1 billion pounds) loan from the European Union, Prime Minister Denys Shmygal said.

“1.2 billion euros for Ukraine is the largest tranche of the European Commission within the framework of the exclusive macro-financial assistance program, which is provided for 10 countries and is aimed at overcoming the negative consequences of the pandemic,” Shmygal said on telegram.
