MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russian President Vladimir Putin may hold talks with U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo in the southern Russian city of Sochi on May 14, the Kremlin said on Tuesday.

Pompeo is due to meet Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in Sochi earlier that day, the Kremlin said.

“Depending on the talks between the heads of these diplomatic agencies, we do not rule out that Pompeo will be received by the Russian president,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on a conference call.
