Ukraine parliament may vote Thursday to appoint Smoliy as cbank chief

KIEV, Dec 19 (Reuters) - The Ukrainian parliament is likely on Thursday to vote on who should head the central bank, with the acting governor, Yakiv Smoliy, the only candidate, the government’s representative in parliament, Vadym Denysenko, said on Tuesday.

“Now one candidate is being considered and it’s acting (governor) Smoliy,” Denysenko told broadcaster Channel 112.
