Asian Development Bank splits annual meeting to cope with virus

TOKYO (Reuters) - The Asian Development Bank (ADB) said on Friday it would divide its annual meeting so that it would be held over two dates to cope with travel restrictions imposed by the coronavirus outbreak.

Instead of a single, annual meeting in Incheon, South Korea in May, ADB will hold a smaller meeting in Manila on May 22 that gathers the designated representatives of governors based in the city, it said.

A full-scale annual meeting would be held on Sept. 18-21 in Incheon for all participants, it said.
