Germany's financial regulator sees no systematic risk: Handelsblatt

BERLIN (Reuters) - Germany’s financial regulator Bafin sees no systemic risk to the financial sector in Europe’s largest economy due to the coronavirus pandemic, Handelsblatt reported on Monday.

“Currently, corona represents a significant burden, but not a systemic risk, to the financial sector,” the financial daily quoted Bafin chief Felix Hufeld as saying. “The banks and we as supervisors must remain vigilant.”
