Impala Platinum says could sell South African shafts slated for closure

JOHANNESBURG (Reuters) - Miner Impala Platinum (IMPJ.J) could sell shafts it plans to close if buyers could be found, Chief Executive Nico Muller told journalists on Thursday after the company announced 13,000 job cuts over the next two years.

He also said the world’s No. 2 producer of the precious metal remained “excited” about its assets in Zimbabwe and saw scope for expansion there.
