Italy's Europe minister say government wants to stay in euro, strengthen it: media

ROME (Reuters) - Italy’s European Affairs Minister Paolo Savona said on Wednesday that remaining in the eurozone was “one of the cardinal points” for the coalition government, Italian news agencies reported.

Addressing Italian MEPs in Strasbourg, Savona added: “I do not intend to take any action against the euro. On the contrary, I want to strengthen it,” Ansa news agency reported.
