Polish Play expects to return to year-on-year profit growth in coming quarters

WARSAW (Reuters) - Play Communications (PLY.WA), the owner of Poland’s second biggest mobile network operator Play, expects to return to year-on-year net profit growth in coming quarters, the company’s Chief Executive Jorgen Bang-Jensen said.

Earlier on Tuesday Play said its net profit was flat year-on-year at 39 million zlotys in the second quarter and fell by 67 percent to 57.5 million in the first half of the year.

Bang-Jensen told a conference on Tuesday that he also expected Play’s adjusted EBITDA margin to expand “solidly” this year and that he saw room for Play to increase its market share from current 28 percent.
