60% chance of cyclone between west coast of Africa, Lesser Antilles - U.S. NHC

(Reuters) - A low pressure system midway between the west coast of Africa and the Lesser Antilles has a 60% chance of becoming a cyclone in the next 48 hours, the U.S. National Hurricane Center said on Tuesday.

“Environmental conditions are expected to be somewhat conducive for development, and a tropical depression could form during the next day or two,” the Miami-based weather forecaster said in its latest advisory.
