LONDON (Reuters) - U.S. national security adviser John Bolton told British officials in London that President Donald Trump’s administration wanted to be helpful about Brexit and was ready to move fast on drawing up a trade deal between the two countries.

“We want to be helpful on Brexit,” Bolton told reporters during a trip to London, where he earlier met senior officials from Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s office.

He said the officials had stressed to him that Britain was ready to leave the European Union on Oct. 31.
