Atlanta Fed lowers U.S. first quarter GDP view to 2.7%

NEW YORK (Reuters) - The U.S. economy grew at a 2.7% annualized rate in the first quarter following data on domestic new and existing home sales released earlier this week, the Atlanta Federal Reserve’s GDPNow forecast model showed on Thursday.

This was a touch slower than the 2.8% growth pace for the first-quarter gross domestic product that the Atlanta Fed’s GDP program calculated on April 19.
