U.S. 10-year note sold at highest yield since 2014

NEW YORK, March 12 (Reuters) - The U.S. Treasury Department on Monday sold $21 billion of 10-year government debt at a yield of 2.889 percent, the highest yield at an auction of this maturity since January 2014, Treasury data showed.

The ratio of bids to the amount offered, a gauge of overall auction demand, was 2.50. This was higher than the 2.34 at the prior 10-year note sale in February. (Reporting by Richard Leong; Editing by Jonathan Oatis)
