U.S. increases 1-month T-bill auction size

NEW YORK, Sept 11 (Reuters) - The U.S. Treasury Department said on Monday it will sell $35 billion in one-month bills on Tuesday, up from $20 billion it sold last week before a deal was struck to raise the federal debt ceiling for three months.

Analysts expect the government will ramp up its sales of T-bills in the coming weeks in an effort to replenish the amount of cash it has on hand to meet its debt payments and other obligations.
