U.S. 5-year note sold at highest yield since 2010

NEW YORK, Dec 27 (Reuters) - The U.S. Treasury Department on Wednesday sold $34 billion of five-year government debt at a yield of 2.245 percent, the highest yield at a five-year auction since April 2010, Treasury data showed.

The ratio of bids to the amount of five-year Treasuries offered was 2.36, the lowest reading since June. This measure of overall auction demand was 2.46 at the prior five-year note sale in November. (Reporting by Richard Leong Editing by Chizu Nomiyama)
