Bill renewing surveillance program passes U.S. House of Representatives

WASHINGTON, Jan 11 (Reuters) - The U.S. House of Representatives on Thursday voted to renew the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act program for another six years and sent the legislation to the Senate.

By a vote of 256 to 164, the Republican-led House approved renewing the authorization. (Reporting by Lisa Lambert)
