WASHINGTON, March 13 (Reuters) - The state of Louisiana has decided to postpone its Democratic and Republican presidential primaries in an effort to curb the spread of coronavirus, CNBC reported, citing a spokesman for Louisiana’s secretary of state.

The state, which had been scheduled to hold nominating contests on April 4, will push them back to June 20 and July 25, CNBC reported.

Reuters was not immediately able to confirm the postponement.
