U.S. oil production may not return soon to 13 mln bpd level hit this year -U.S. energy secretary

WASHINGTON, Oct 28 (Reuters) - U.S. Energy Secretary Dan Brouillette said on Wednesday he is not sure that U.S. oil production will return soon to the 13 million barrels per day (bpd) level it hit earlier this year due to weak demand caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

Brouillette said there does not seem to be enough consumer demand to drive production that high and U.S. crude production could be around 11 million bpd next year. (Reporting by Timothy Gardner Editing by Chris Reese)
